How tight are the socks and what kind of pressure will I experience?
Calfies uses 20-30mmHg graduated compression, which means the pressure is firmest at the ankle and gradually eases toward the knee. It feels like a supportive hug, not a squeeze. Most people describe it as snug but comfortable from the first wear.
Are the socks easy to put on even with limited mobility?
Yes. Our high-stretch nylon and spandex fabric is designed to glide on without a fight. No donning aids needed. If you can pull on a regular sock, you can pull on a Calfie.
Can I wear these socks If I have diabetes, varicose veins or oedema?
Many of our customers wear Calfies for exactly these reasons. The comfort cuff is non-binding, so it won't dig into sensitive or swollen skin. That said, if you have a specific medical condition, we'd always recommend checking with your GP first.
How long can I wear the socks for?
Calfies is designed for all-day wear. Most customers put them on first thing in the morning and wear them through a full 12-hour shift or day on their feet. We recommend taking them off before bed unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Can I wear these socks for long-haul flights?
Absolutely. Graduated compression helps prevent blood from pooling during long periods of sitting, which is exactly what happens on a flight. Put them on before you board and keep them on until you land.
Does the foot bed size increase with larger sock sizes?
Yes. Each size (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL) is proportionally scaled so the foot bed, ankle, and calf all increase together for a proper fit.
